Swiss Tenor Luca Gotti graduated from Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with a Bachelor’s degree under Prof. Gerd Türk and Prof. Ulrich Messthaler. In summer 2023 he completed his education with a Master’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich under Prof. Julian Prégardien. During those years he acquired further vocal inputs with teachers such as Margreet Honig, Paul Triepels and Christian Immler as part of the Orford Music Academy.
Luca Gotti is currently active performing Opera and Oratorio repertoire. In the 2023/2024 season, Luca will perform as Rinuccio in Puccinis Gianni Schicchi at the Musiktheater im Reaktor in Munich as well as Dr. Siedler in Benatzkys Im weißen Rössl. Furthermore, he will also give his debut at the Prinzregententheater in Munich together with the Ballet-Academie en scène, where he will be perfroming parts of Verdis La Traviata.
On the concert stage his performances will include Verdi’s Messa da Requiem (Orchester Pöcking), Haydns Die Schöpfung (Berner Bachchor) and Die Jahreszeiten, as well as Mendelssohns Elias.
His work has led Luca onto numerous stages across Europe where he joined orchestras and groups such as the Münchner Symphoniker, the Theater Orchester Biel/Bern, the Symphonisches Orchester Isartal and the La Cetra Barockorchester.
As a concert singer, he has already performed Händels Messiah, Bachs Johannespassion (Evangelista and Arias) and Weihnachtsoratorium, Rossinis Petite messe solennelle, Mendelssohns Erste Walpurgisnacht and Haydns Die Schöpfung.
In addition, the Schola Heidelberg conducted by Walter Nussbaum and Ekkehard Windrich allows Luca Gotti to expand his repertoire into contemporary music with regular performances at the “Heidelberger Frühling”.
